WHAT IF?

What If? is a multi-part social media campaign developed for Pioneer Utility Resources to showcase its digital marketing and communications services through fresh, possibility-driven storytelling. The campaign brought several service offerings under one cohesive creative concept designed to strengthen Pioneer’s social presence while showing prospective clients what those services could make possible.

The Challenge

Pioneer offered a strong range of digital marketing and communications services, but those capabilities needed a more engaging way to be showcased on social media. Traditional service-focused messaging risked feeling overly promotional or repetitive, making it harder to communicate the real value behind each offering.

The challenge was to create content that could market Pioneer’s services in a way that felt current, compelling and aligned with the brand while still clearly demonstrating what each service could do for prospective clients.

The Goal

Use Pioneer’s own social channels to better market its services, strengthen the brand’s social presence and help prospective clients understand the outcomes those services could provide.

The campaign also needed to create a recognizable creative system that could work across multiple Pioneer offerings without making every post feel the same.

The Big Idea

Rather than leading with features, the campaign was built around one simple question:

WHAT IF?

Each campaign execution invited prospective clients to imagine a better outcome before introducing the Pioneer service that could help make it possible.

The concept transformed common marketing and communications challenges into possibility-driven stories such as clearer analytics, stronger social media performance and more responsive customer communication.

The Approach

Each campaign followed a consistent storytelling structure:

WHAT IF? → CUSTOMER CHALLENGE → BETTER POSSIBILITY → PIONEER SOLUTION → CALL TO ACTION

This framework created consistency across the campaign while giving each Pioneer service room to have its own message, imagery and personality.

The campaign was extended across multiple service areas, including:

Pioneer Social
Focused on helping organizations strengthen their social media presence and turn content into measurable business value.

Pioneer Portal
Focused on making analytics easier to understand and helping clients move from reporting to clear, actionable direction.

247 Monitoring
Focused on responsive customer communication and the value of having support available beyond normal business hours.

Creative Direction

The visual direction was designed to feel modern, energetic and approachable while remaining consistent with Pioneer’s established brand.

Bold typography, dimensional layouts, branded color palettes, digital interface elements and people-focused imagery were used throughout the campaign to make service-based messaging feel more engaging and social-first.

Each service received its own visual treatment while maintaining enough consistency to clearly belong to the larger What If? campaign.

My Role

Campaign Strategy · Concept Development · Copywriting · Social Media Design · Creative Direction · Presentation Design

I helped develop the overarching campaign concept, messaging structure and visual direction, then translated the strategy into individual social media executions for Pioneer’s different service offerings.

The Outcome

The final concept created a flexible social campaign that allowed Pioneer to market multiple services under one recognizable creative idea.

Rather than simply promoting service features, the campaign focused on the outcomes prospective clients care about and positioned Pioneer as the partner that could help make those outcomes possible.
